I have been in the business of Real Estate full time since 2001.  My husband, Craig, and I moved from South Florida to get away from the crowded roads, restaurants and just general style of living.  I can truly say that the Ocala / Marion County is a beautiful place to live and play. 
 
We have a beautiful home on about 40 acres of beautiful property in the NE area of Marion County.  We have our "family" of 3 dogs - Molly, a Brittney Spaniel; Minna, a German Shorthair Pointer; and Walker, an American Foxhound (we think!) who just showed up one day so weak he could hardly walk -- today he is a big healthy dog.  We also have our little kitty - who also found us when she was just 4 weeks old -- Shasha.
 
In addition to having a Real Estate Company, Southern Pines Realty, my husband has a land clearing company, Paradise Land Clearing. 
 
The quality of life here in Marion County and surrounding counties is so full of sunshine, outdoor activities, and wonderful residential areas, farms - of all sizes, as well as tons of different types of rural and waterfront properties.  Ocala is approximately 1 hour from Ormond Beach / Daytona Beach on the east coast and about 1 hour from Cedar Key on the west coast.  It is also about 1-1/2 hour from Orlando and you are in Jacksonville in 1-1/2 hour as well.  So, as you can see the location of Marion County in central Florida is ideal.  And, do not overlook how close we are to Gainesville - University of Florida & Shands Hospital.
 
Marion County offers a variety for just about any lifestyle.  We live in the NE area (my personal favorite!) where you can go swimming in the summer in the gorgeous natural springs that are numerous throughout the forest and parks.
